Enrichment

Our enrichment offer is a fundamental part of the educational experience we provide and reflects our commitment to developing well-rounded, confident, and aspirational young people. Embedded across all faculties and year groups, enrichment opportunities are carefully planned to complement and extend the taught curriculum, enabling students to explore new interests, develop existing talents, and engage with experiences beyond the classroom.

From the moment students join our school until they leave at 16, they are encouraged to participate in a diverse range of academic, sporting, creative, cultural, leadership, and community-based activities. Through these experiences, students develop the LORIC values of Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative, and Communication, equipping them with the personal attributes and transferable skills required for success in education, employment, and life beyond school.

Our enrichment programme is designed to enhance cultural capital by providing students with opportunities to engage with the wider world, experience different cultures and perspectives, and access experiences that broaden horizons and raise aspirations. Through educational visits, competitions, performances, clubs, leadership opportunities, employer engagement, community projects, and faculty-led activities, students develop the confidence, knowledge, and character needed to thrive in an increasingly diverse and interconnected society.

By embedding enrichment throughout school life, we ensure that every student has access to meaningful experiences that foster personal growth, support academic success, and prepare them to become active, responsible, and successful citizens.
